After the purchase, as I was about to sell the car, warning lights came on to service the car. I found out that I needed to replace the water pump and transmission, so I did. I spent over $4K for replacements. Other replacements were all in 2013. The car is running very well. Now you have the comfort knowing that the most expensive parts will not trouble you. I am beginning to understand that BMW's water pump and transmission are its weakness for cars of this age; well no need to worry with this car.
